Flora Europaea perennial, H, 2n=18, diploid mesoxeric to mesic, from the forest-steppe to lower nemoral Central European Origanetalia, Quercetalia pubescentis, Prunetalia R41s from the lower nemoral and forest-steppe, R34, R38 grasslands, R3121, rare in R87s (as a ruderal, like in the images to the right)             One of the most common spring time species in various types of low altitude grasslands.
